Week 2 Recap: Afghan Premier FC Gets Two More From Safi Azizi

FREMONT, CA (September 16, 2024) - This could be the season Safi Azizi explodes. 

Azizi scored two more goals as Afghan Premier FC grabbed a 4-1 victory over Club Tepa in a NISA Nation Pacific Region match at Ohlone College on Sunday, Sept. 15.

The 6-foot-2, 160-pound forward had six goals last season for Afghan Premier FC (2-0-0 overall) and now is one of a handful of players with 10-or-more goals across one calendar year in NISA Nation.

On Saturday, Las Vegas Legends FC got two goals from Elijah Rice and STG Premier Pro matched with two late goals from Antonio Bernardo Costeira de Almeida in a 3-3 draw at Las Vegas Sportspart in Las Vegas, NV, Worldwide Premier FC allowed an early penalty but buried four goals in a 4-1 win over Temecula FC at Westminster High School in Southern California, and Sebastian Fronda and Johnathan Negrete had two goals each as Soccer Academy Nevada beat Olympiacos CA at Orange County Great Park in Irvine, CA. 

Also on Sunday, Manuel de Jesus Hernadez scored the only goal as Silicon Valley Rush went on the road to defeat Elk Grove Blues 1-0 at John F. Kennedy High School in Elk Grove, CA.
