Week 10 Recap: Sahara Gunners FC Opens With A Win

BUFFALO, NY (May 20, 2024) - HsaKlo Moo's 84th-minute goal proved to be the match winner.

Abdullahi Hussaein scored twice and Moo added the late finish as Sahara Gunners FC grabbed a 4-3 victory over FC Dutchmen Independence in a NISA Nation Western N.Y. Region match at Adams Field on Sunday, May 19.

Hussein scored in the 35th and 70th minutes for Sahara Gunners FC (1-0-0 overall), a qualifier for the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

On Saturday, Christopher Michael Ribet scored two early goals as FCGS Force beat Temecula FC 4-1 at Rio Hondo College in Whittier, CA, Jailany Thiaw scored a match-winner as Laguna FC beat ASC Silicon Valley 2-1 at Sequoia High School's Tranmere Stadium in Redwood City, CA, David Huerta's late goal sealed a 2-1 win for Craq FC over Olympiacos CA at Al Barbour Stadium in La Mirada, CA, and Las Vegas Legends FC had an 11-0 win over Irvine Zeta FC II Christo Rey St. Viator High School in Las Vegas, NV. 

Also on Sunday, Binghamton FC and Gaffer City FC played to a 3-3 draw at Visions Field in Binghamton, NY, Afghan Premier FC and Bay Area United FC finished 1-1 at Miramonte High School in Orinda, CA, and Landon Elfstrom scored three times as Silicon Valley Rush beat Club Tepa 6-1 at South San Francisco High School.
