Waleed Cherif is an Algerian American who started playing soccer at a very young age. He spent most of his years playing in the USSDA with Solar Chelsea (Previously Andromeda) before playing in high school (Coppell) where he won the 6A Texas state championship his senior year.

Waleed attended the University of Texas where he studied mechanical engineering. During that time he played in the UPSL with Round Rock SC where he was also captain. He transferred to West Liberty (D2) for a semester then transferred to Duquesne University (D1) where he recently graduated this past December. Waleed has enjoyed playing in the USL2, NPSL and UPSL during the summer months and can’t wait to make this jump to the next level to help Michigan Stars bring back a championship.
