Brian Vang was born is Saint Paul, Minnesota.  Brian grew up in the U.S. Development Academy Soccer System and was recruited to play soccer at University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.  After his 4-year college career, Brian spent time with a couple of USL clubs before signing with the Michigan Stars in 2020.  Brian and his brother are the first 2 players, who are Hmong, to play professionally in the United States.  Brian is entering his second year with the Michigan Stars and typically plays center midfield.
